Condylactis aurantiaca can be easily recognized on underwater photos. It always is buried in sand, so that only the oral disk with the tentacles is visible on the surface. The tentacles and disk are characteristically colored; the tentacles are spread on a substrate. The species occurs in Mediterranean.
