Boloceropsis platei is distributed along Chilean coasts. It is characterized by very low, almost invisible in living species column, wide oral disk and long pointed tentacles. Color is variable, white, various tints of red, orange, or brownish. A pale line running along the whole length of the oral face of each tentacle is noticeable on many specimens.
